# Harmonix Point Program

The **Harmonix Points Program** enters its next phase with **Season 2**, starting at **12 PM UTC on March 4**, following the conclusion of Season 1. This new season brings an enhanced points system designed to reward long-term engagement and consistent participation. Key updates include a refined **point calculation formula**, a **tiered ranking structure** (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond), and new benefits such as **NFT rewards** and **early access to upcoming Harmonix features**.

**Base Rate**: Adjusts based on the rate of change (ROC) of Total Value Locked (TVL).

**Weighted TVL (WTVL)**: Sum of individual vault TVLs multiplied by their respective point multipliers.

* **Loyalty Bonus Snapshot Period:** From February 19, 2025, until 23:59 PM UTC on March 2, 2025.
* **How to Qualify?**\
  To earn Loyalty Bonus, you must meet both of the following conditions:\
  \+ Have more than 0 points\
  \+ Maintain an active deposit (either an existing one or a new deposit during LB Snapshot Period) and hold your deposit position until the snapshot period ends

**Time Factor**: Incentivizes long-term deposits via a logarithmic formula. Time factor will be reset to 1 if user withdrawal all.

### **Ranking Tiers & Rewards**&#x20;

Inspired by Hyperliquid Points, users will be categorized into Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond tiers based on their accumulated points, unlocking progressively greater benefits.

#### Notes:

* **Median Point**: Acts as a midpoint metric that minimizes the effects of outliers, keeping the ranking process equitable.
* **Ranking Updates**: Your rank is refreshed every 7 days, allowing you to track your progress and remain engaged.
* **Users who had enough points in Season 1 to qualify for Gold or Diamond must continue farming in Season 2 to unlock a new tier or maintain that same tier.** If they do not farm in Season 2, then at the end-of-season snapshot, they automatically default to Silver.
* **Rewards** are determined by the final ranking at the last snapshot of Season 2.

### Example Calculation

To better understand how the formula works in practice, consider the following scenario:

User A:

* Deposits $50,000 into KelpDao Vault (4x multiplier) for 90 days.
* Loyalty Bonus: 0.14 points/hour (earned from 10,000 Season 1 points).
* Time Factor: 1+0.1×ln⁡(91)≈1.551+0.1×ln(91)≈1.55
* Points Calculation:(0.03×50,000×4+0.14)×1.55×2,160=20,142 points(0.03×50,000×4+0.14)×1.55×2,160=20,142 points
* Tier Placement: Gold (200,000 required → needs additional deposits).

This example illustrates how deposits, vault selection, loyalty bonuses, and long-term engagement contribute to point accumulation and tier progression.

### **How To Earn Harmonix Point Season 2**

Below are the key ways to accumulate points under the updated system. Each method is designed to reward consistent engagement and support for the Harmonix platform:

* Deposit in Vaults
* Other on-chain and off-chain activities to be announced

### **UPDATE: STAKING COUNTING TOWARD TIER PROGRESSION**

We’re updating users on an important clarification in how the **Harmonix Tier System** works:

* **Staking activity now contributes to your Tier Points**— but only if you have a valid vault deposit.
* **To earn and maintain Tier status, you need to have an active portfolio with at least $10 deposited into a vault.**

**Why This Matters**
\
To qualify for and maintain your Tier status, you must hold at least $10 in a Harmonix vault.

* Tenure Days (which affect your Tier) are calculated based on the initial portfolio deposit date and the latest trade end date.
* Staking without a vault portfolio won’t trigger Tenure accumulation or Tier progression.

**Grace Period: April 10 to April 14, 2025 (until 16:59 GMT)**
\
To support users who’ve been staking but haven’t yet created a vault deposit, we’re offering a short grace period.
\
If you deposit at least $10 into a vault by 16:59 GMT on April 14, and you’ve been staking previously:

* Your earliest staking deposit date will be counted as your vault’s initial deposit date.
* This means your Tenure Days will be backdated to reflect your staking history.
  \
  No action is needed if you already have a qualifying portfolio with at least $10 deposited.

**After April 14 16:59 GMT**
\
A vault balance of $10 or more is required to earn or keep Tier benefits.
\
If your vault balance drops below $10 due to a full withdrawal:

* If you are Silver tier or above, your Tier will be reset to Silver.
* If you are Bronze, your Tier will remain unchanged.
  \
  Any new vault deposits after April 14 will use the actual deposit date for Tenure. Staking history will no longer be backdated.

This update ensures consistent and fair recognition for all users in the Tier system. If you’ve been staking but haven’t yet deposited into a vault, now is the time to get set up and ensure your progress is counted.
